There has been violence in my hometown, deadly teen violence, and it’s only the first week of summer. Of course, everyone is concerned and worried, and the media coverage has been extensive, but a few days after the reports in the news, another one appeared. One that gave hope.
An anonymous local high school student is teaming up with the Mayor, the police department, and other local officials to try to begin to find answers to curbing the violence.
One teen coming forward to offer help can do more that a roomful of adults, even if they are caring. Teens listen to other teens. My hope is that this story will continue, and I can post updates soon.
